Quilts for
Kids
Originated by an
interior designer utilizing obsolete fabric samples to make quilts
for children from birth to age 22 battling disease.
Quilt Guidelines:
Please machine sew and quilt; no
hand tied please.
Observe choking hazards: be sure
all pieces are securely sewn in.
Pre-wash all fabrics before
use.
Please use thin batting to make it
easier for kids to hold.
Preferred size 40" x 45", up to
50" x 55" accepted.
The Veteran's Quilt
Project
This project began in
2006 by IQI member Irma Nagele. Her goal of providing 100 quilts to
wheelchair-bound vets at VA hospitals has been met and exceeded,
but sadly, there are many more vets. These quilts are deeply
appreciated by their recipients and still in great
demand.
Please make your quilts no larger
than 40" x45" to fit safely within a wheelchair.
