Membership
Membership applications received after January 1 are prorated to $25.
Illinois Quilters Inc. is open to quilters of all levels, from enthusiastic beginners to nationally-recognized fiber artists. Don't unwrap till December 4th! -Check back for details
Membership includes:
- Monthly meetings with programs by internationally acclaimed artists and speakers
- A year's subscription to IQI's monthly newsletter The Oak Leaf
- Borrowing privileges from IQI's extensive library of over 1,500 books and periodicals
- Exhibiting your work (if a member by 9/15) at the Fine Art of Fiber Show in November
- Invitation to join the January Quilt-In weekend retreat
- Participation in quilting service projects to help the wider community
- Monthly raffles for prizes and Block-of-the-Month quilt squares
A full membership is $45 per year. For $20, you may subscribe to the newsletter but not have full membership. Our "membership year" is from September through August. If you are joining after January, please contact the Membership Chairperson for prorated fees. To join IQI for 2008-2009, please print this form, complete it and mail it or bring it to a meeting.
Visitors and guests are welcome at monthly programs for a $5 fee for the first meeting, $10 for subsequent meetings. You may also attend free on a member's one-use guest pass.
Meetings, Workshops, and Programs
Meetings: First Thursday of the month at 7:30 pm, September through June, in Wilmette or Northbrook. The December and June meetings are pot luck dinners. The April meeting is a field trip to the International Quilt Show in Rosemont. Check Programs and Workshops for more details, including the location. Workshops: Six weekends per year (September, October, January, February, March, April, May).Check Programs and Workshops for more details, including the location. Maps are available from the left navigation bar of this page.
Show and Boutique: Fine Art of Fiber, with North Shore Weavers Guild and the Windy City Knitting Guild, held in November. Check Fine Art of Fiber for more information.
Quilt-In: Weekend retreat with workshops at the end of January.
